Cllr Mark Reach
Your first choice for East Hampshire Lib Dem candidate

I grew up in County Durham, much of my childhood spent on a council estate. I saw up close what happens when communities lose jobs, homes, and hope — and it gave me a determination to fight for fairness and opportunity.
After university I moved to London, serving as Private Secretary to four Secretaries of State for Transport. It was an incredible experience, working at the highest levels of government and learning how to get things done. I then took on senior roles in business, including as Compliance Director of an intercity train company, responsible for a billion-pound contract and 3,500 staff.
In 2010 I made Hampshire my home — and I love it here. I’ve campaigned across our villages and towns, helped to run Danny Chambers’ winning campaign in Winchester, and was proud to be elected as a councillor myself. Today I serve as Cabinet Member for Housing, looking after 5,500 council homes and 12,000 tenants across central Hampshire.
This is the place I’ve chosen to build my life. It’s where I want to serve, and where I believe we can win.
